RED RIBBON WEEK
Red Ribbon Week
To Be Drug Free... Takes a Whole Community!
Red Ribbon Week is a time in the year when we celebrate living a drug-free life and making healthy, safe choices. Sycamore Elementary, along with other schools in Orange County will celebrate this week October 24th - 28th.
During this week each student is given a red wristband, and they are encouraged to wear it each day to support living a healthy life. Students will also learn about making good choices in school assemblies and they will have the opportunity to sign a "Pledge to b Drug Free" poster.
Each day during Red Ribbon Week we will focus on a theme for the day and encourage students and staff to dress accordingly.
The themes this year are:
"Put a Cap on Drugs" - Wear your favorite hat to school.
"Team Up Against Drugs" - Wear your favorite team jersey or t-shirt
"Join Our Community In Wear Red Day" - Wear Red
"I'm too Bright for Drugs" - Wear bright or neon colors
"I'm a "JEAN-ious, I'm Drug Free" - Wear jeans and a Sycamore spirit shirt
